How To Do The SWISS ALPS in 4 Days | INTERLAKEN | 2020 Travel Guide | JUNGFRAU Region | DAY 2

People welcome to Switzerland Switzerland Day 2: Interlaken Pura vida people Good monring and welcome to day 2 This time we will explore Interlaken First of all I want to show you The sunrise of today.

This is a Switzerland-level sunrise Nothing could be better than a Coffee with this views And this is just the beginning of the day The views from the hostel are incredible Really great So the plan for today is to visit Interlaken So first, I’ll go to Thunersee One of the two lakes in Interlaken That is located at the west side After that I’ll go to east, to Interlaken Ost And climb this mountain here to the top here so, in order to climb to the top There are several options One could hike or also one can take a funicular We’re almost arriving to Thunersee That is all this area here And just for information The cows are here, just before the park This is the part where we are It’s called Weissenau It’s a protected zone At over there, at the top Where the little castle is Is where we’ll go later It’s called Harder Kulm For now we have to see the lake We’re again on the streets After looking at the ice pyramid It was Impressive! I’m here in front of the cows again to say good bye We’re going to Interlaken west, to the Bahnhof The German word for train station And before arriving to the station All of this is Interlaken West it’s the west part And we’re going to the east part The whole Interlaken belongs to the province of Bern And Bern is the capital of Switzerland I can come 100 times to Switzerland And I’m always surprised by the water It’s just unreal Look all the colours! It’s super clean It’s like the perfect world I’ll imagine it like this… I’ll imagine Switzerland Amazing snowy mountains, incredible water No trash on the streets, no potholes, Secure, everything works If something could be perfect, I’ll imagine it like this Trip Interlaken West to Ost 5 minutes by train Ok so from Interlaken Ost I will take the Harderbahn That is the funicular so I can Go to this point The highest point in Interlaken Harder Kulm so It’s pretty close… so let’s go As you can see the symbol of Interlaken And over there is where the funicular is Such a bad luck! It’s closed!! Not working until 10th April 2020… So until spring We’re now in Winter So two options: I can leave or I can hike the mountain until I can until my time here allows it Let’s see Here they have some little houses For the pet of Interlaken, the goat I took the wrong path Maybe it was a shortcut But I can’t even breath Let’s see what’s more While I hike and while I have energy I’ll tell you a little bit about the region This belongs to the Jungfrau region So Interlaken is part of it.

And this place is like the entrance Or the connection to other places around Like Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen, Wengen, Murren, etc.

Many little villages or towns that you can visit from here Cause the train connection is excellent This is one of the best and well known regions in the Swiss Alps Cause is just beautiful Ok we arrive to….

How can I even describe this view: This over here with an amazing turquoise color Is the Brienzersee and is the other lake So there are two lakes here Brienzersee and Thunersee… See in German is lake So it makes a lot of sense the name cause If you read it in English language Literally is Inter-lakes in the middle of lakes In fact the name was changed, Cause at first it was called….

Centuries ago… The name was “Aarmühle” So nah!!! It sounds awful So Interlaken it is… and is spectacular Look over there and the end That’s the Thunersee The lake we saw in the morning So all the region down there is Interlaken West And this over here is Interlaken East The views from here are amazing This is my reward after the hike This views! Dude I’ll switch the camera I also found a little cabin here but it's closed ain any case here's an open space.

pretty nice A bench so you can seat and take some breath again That line is from the funicular but as I said It is close… the whole path for going up is closed So well… we can’t do anything else I hope that when you come this can be open And at the end, in Harder Kulm there’s also a restaurant And I hope you can get lucky I’ll end the video here Thank you very much for joining me I am really tired.

It’s a good hike with some kilometers But it worths the effort The views are amazing! You can really understand the name Inter-lakes To see the Thunersee and then the Brinzersee With a water that is blue… green.

turquoise… All the colours basically… all lakes here look amazing The snowy mountains are so good And all the region of Jungfrau is great So well.
