How to make Nintendocore

Do you like Nintendo? “Yeah!” 😀 Do you also like Metalcore Breakdowns? “No!” :/ How about NINTENDO BREAKDOWNS? “What?” :O NINTENDOCORE! Sound of Andri falling (This is my 10th take, btw) “Seriously, WHAT?” >:O [Nintendocore banger plays] Nintendocore, also knows as NESCore.

LIÊN QUAN

Làm thế nào để chọn một trang web cá cược phù hợp?

4 Lời khuyên để giành chiến thắng khi cá cược bóng đá

Xu hướng chơi game casino online, Tại sao? Lợi ích

[Ness screaming] Is a sub-genre that combinds Rock and metal Mostly Metalcore With Chiptune! The genre is basically a combination of happy little 8-bit tunes [Wholesome Chiptune] WITH THIS! [Not-so-Wholesome Metalcore] The genre was COINED by the bandHORSE the Band.

It was originally a joke suggestion to quickly describe their combination of Hardcore Rock and KORG Synth.

But the jokes on them, HA Cause the internet, takes, EVERYTHING, seriously.

Now you have a legion of internet NERDS that try their weirdest way of blending 8-synths and distorted guitars to live up to their name; N I N T E N D O C O R E “Who knew gamers would grow up to become a bunch of losers!” “He he he he he” >:D [Game: Press any button] “Where's the ANY BUTTON?” Oh, and because this genre started in, uhhh.

.

.

.

Let's see.

[Sound of paper being thrown around] “UUUHHHHH” [More paper] Mid 2000, You can expect a lot of Metalcore Influence.

But as the genre grew, it later became more of an umbrella term So it isn't just restricted to, y'know, metalcore.

You have bands like HORSE the BAND and Math the Band, two of my biggest fears, That have that Indie/Hardcore sound with Chiptune synths.

{TabOff2[Absolute Banger plays] Then there are artists like The Minibosses, The Megas, Powerglove and Vomitron.

Who make Video Game Metal Covers [Sound of Russians mad dancing in the background] and bands like Dinotrax, I Shot The Duck Hunt Dog, and 100DEADRABBITS, that's basically just Cybergrind, but with video game samples and plain synths.

[Questionable Banger Plays] Andri: BEYOTIFUL It has gotten to the point wherethey actually try to categorize these sub-genres.

With names like Nintendogrind, Nintendonoise 8-bit Screamo Midicore? Midigrind??? This is getting a bit silly.

Do you think Nintendo is ok withtheir family brand being assotiated with Extreme Metal? AAhh I'm sure it's fine, It's not like they have lawyers or anything currently searching the internetfor this video.

[Concerned laughter] Speaking of which, HERE'S A FUN FACT In the Nintendocore scene, there's an artist called YAMERO Yeammeror yeuh Iameh I AM ERROR oh now I get it.

IAmError, or the man behind the music; Peet, produced a couble of Nintendocore tracks, but among them was a song calledRainbow Road! The song itself is pretty bizarre with cheap sounds midi drums that's playing on full velocity, Fry screaming that you can't understand, Guitars that sounds like they'vebeen bit-crushed to death, oh, and the mix is pretty bad aswell.

[AAAHHHH] This song is so infamously bad that it became a meme in the nintendocore community.

It got to the point where everyone made their own cover of the song, by doing it better or worse.

It is also said that making yourown cover version of Rainbow Road is a right of passage that lets you become a Nintendocore Artist.

so uh, Guess what I did in the weekend.

[Andri's Cover of Rainbow Road playing] I take shitposting, very seriously.

But Peet decided to leave IAmError behind to focus on other projects.

Like Monomate, Which is Nintendocore, but you can actually listen to it.

also Airflow and Aperatus.

So yeah, it's kinda cool that this guy who was part of a big internet community is still around.

Although it seems like he's not a big fan of it anymore.

But now that we've learned a bitabout these; Nintendo-corers, or whatever these nerds call themselves.

It is time for us to make a fullon HARDCORE BLASTING, BREAKDOWN HEAVY, 8 BIT CRUSHING, NINTENDOCORE! [Inhale] Grab a controller, gamer fuel and cheat sheet, We're gonna PWN some N00BZ and make the musical equivilent of kids yelling on SUPER MARIO SPEEDRUNS! (I fucking hate myself already) [Jammin Track] Well, if it isn’t obvious all you need is a metal instrument and some chiptune.

[The sound of a murdered childhood] Haha, silly Andri, not that kind of chiptune, we have fun here.

Chiptune is genre that emulates that old video game sound.

and all the synth sounds are made using the basic Waveforms Y’know, Sine, Square, Triangle, Sawtooth, Circle an- .

.

.

wait a minute.

You can actually recreate that Nintendo, Commoder, old PC Sound with a modern synth! [Jingle Jangle] First you open a synth, then you put it on blank, or reset, and then you set to to a Simple squarewave, and then you got the sound down! now just add breakdowns! [Mario theme] [Mario theme, but HEAVY] You can also use a Pusle Wave, Which is kinda like a squarewave, but sometickled it In ih- Int's it's neck.

so it's like EH [Laughter] But if your synth has that, thenI recomend using that over a regualr squarewave.

[Jolly tune] [SUPRISE MEGALOVANIA] You can also blend it with the other waveforms to try to create a more unique sound, but unless you’re a synth freak, just keep it simple.

But here’s some free pointers: Use arpeggiation to get some twinkly effects, or use it to play broken chords.

[Arp Darp] [Melody thing] Turn the attack up to give it a fade-in [Take Its'-a Me To Church] Bit-crusher or distortion to give the sound some spice.

[Spicy Notes] You can also add another waveform, Adjust the pitch, and get some weird de-tuning effects.

[Mario on Shrooms] These are just some of the things you can do with the sound but still keep that simple characterization.

Or you can just be lazy and pickpresets at random, It’s like loot boxes without thegambling! Oh wait, sorry.

“SURPRISE MECHANICS” But that’s the easy part.

Now we need metal instruments.

Guitar, Bass, Drums and Mr shouty.

For the guitar, you need that sweet, sweet 2008 metal tone.

So add ALL THE GAIN and take down ALL THE MIDZ, you’re not gonna need them.

Plus that leaves more room for GAMING.

For the most part, you're just gonna make the guitar do 2 things.

Breakdowns and maybe some basic chord progression thing.

That last one is optional, You don't need effort.

It's Metalcore.

.

.

for games.

So make a breakdown patter and put the chiptune melody there to fill out that sad space.

🙁 [Sad breakdown] BASS Same as the guitar.

just play some breakdowns and hope they don’t replace you with a sawtooth wave.

Cause that would be an unfortunate accident.

DRUMS you just need a lot of kick and cymbals.

So join the guitar and bass and match the pedals to the pattern ofthe breakdown.

[Heavy Nintendo] If they’re nice to you, you can play some pop-punk beatsand blast beats.

VOCALS can't growl?? just SCREAM [AAAHHHH] [AAAAHHHHH] [AAAAAAHHHHHHHH] [AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA] No effort?, no problem! Then you can just drown it in reverb and hope it’ll hide your voice cracks.

Or you can do these metalcore screeches that are on the border of being black metal.

Just remember that lyrics are for chumps and growling vowels lets your fans interoperate the lyrics.

But if you’re one of those GAMERNERDS that want to put “effort” into lyrics like a sad and lonely anime fan on prom night then just find the game’s wikipedia page, write down keywords and find a way to jam them into the song.

The less it rhymes, the better.

But do you wanna know what's really weird about this genre? Guitar, bass and vocals are optional! Yes, because most Nintendocore bands are just a one-man synth project that's just a pretty melody withdrums.

[Nintendocore montage] Tbh, I'm kinda embracing this genre a lot more, infact, this seems kinda fun, I might just make music like this unironically like this at times.

Infact, I may have been a littletoo harsh on this genre.

.

.

NAH, these nerds deserve a beating.

MOVING RIGHT ALONG and now for the GENRE STYLE Hardcore? Metalcore? Easycore? Pop Punk? Cybergrind? Post-Pop Punk with a hint of Vegan Straight Edge? YOU DECIDE It’s like a video game with customization options.

Except you don't have to pay forthem.

[Roasted] But of course, this all depends on how melodic you want your songs to be.

Here’s a handy dandy scale.

It might be a little off, but eh, don’t take my word as law.

Btw, apparently, Nintendocore bands that are still around have moved on to the more Djentier style, so you could add some polyrhythmand syncopated guitar riffs that makes you do this! [Banging head to a lazy Djentendocore song] BAND NAMES It has to be a video game reference AND NOTHING ELSE! So pick a video game character, location, console, fighting moveor whatever.

As long as it’s from a video game or is a video game reference It's A-OK It doesn't even need to be aboutanything Nintendo related.

Kinda defeats the point of the name, but, WHATEVER.

Here's my demonstration name; ToaDeath I love the Toad character in theMario games.

They're so annoying and have that high-pitched shriek.

[The sound of torture] ALSO IN THE SUPER MARIO BROS MOVIE, HE'S A FOLK PUNK SINGER! [A song about the destruction ofthe enviroment by an evil dictator] 10/10 BEST VIDEO GAME MOVIE LOGO Okay, now to stylize your band name.

The easy way is to just find an 8-bit font and call it a day.

The other easy way is to just draw lines and hope people can read your band name.

I went with both and I made it in MARIO PAINT.

HAHA, FOOLED YOU I CAN'T AFFORD GAMES I'M TOO COOL FOR GAMES ALBUM COVER Did I mention video games? I hope I did, cause your album cover is just gonna be a mash-up of stolen art assets, charactersdoing something morbid/dark, or some alteration of a game boxcover or a console.

Buuut, you probably shouldn't release anything that's licensed by Nintendo, or use any sprite made by a gamecompany.

Unless you want your ass draggedto court! “eh” 😮 THat's right! cause once you put this on streaming.

.

.

BAM DMCA TAKEDOWN So the only way to get away withusing copyrighted material is to upload it on BandCamp, SoundCloud, or YouTube.

Although if you're lucky or the sensor is asleep, you might be able to get your song to streaming.

but tbh, I don't Nintendo cares enough to get rid of all the edgy Nintendo nerds on the internet making music about.

.

.

uh.

.

.

Bowser getting a vasectomy or whatever.

But if you reaaally want to be safe, then my advice would be to make the album cover a mock-up, or just something vaguely gaming-esque.

But this is only if you want to put your music up for streaming.

All the rest of you SoundCloud kids, just STEAL STEAL STEAL AWAY! Btw, if you can’t think of a good album name, just call it Kawai.

cause while researching this, I found 3 bands with an album called Kawaii.

The irony of combinging 8-bit aestetic and japanese cuteness with ugly sounds music? or lazyness? YOU DECIDE [MGS Call] [Very Important message] “and if you do drugs, you'll go to hell before you die” [Awkward pause] plz Y'know what? I'm just gonna say it, I don't think he's a real plumber.

[Groovy banger] Now that we’ve done some gaming and have spent all our money on asset flips on Steam, it’s time to make music! [Through the pan flutes and recorders we carry on] “Man, this is hard” Load up your DAW [Not a reaper commercial] Set the BPM to whatever fits you, as long as it's faster than Sonic running away from his problems.

“You can't forever Sonic!” “The Chao need CHild SuPPOrt!” Open your drum minion and find that one drum kit with a good kick and cymbal.

[badum shhi] Then just turn the kick up a little bit.

Now add your metal guitars, make sure the gain is high and the mid is low.

You’ll need that space to play Solitaire.

Game of the year, every year.

Then add bass and just make it do the same thing as the guitar.

[Copy/Paste melody] Like your little brother who yougave an unplugged controller, so you could pretend to play the game with you.

Then add your synths.

[BRRRRRINGG] Now to write the song.

Here's some main bits you're gonna need You don't need to add everythingI'm gonna add to my song, Just feel free to explore and uhdo whatever.

Here's what I added.

A verse that’s just a mini breakdown with some synths on top.

[A neat verse] Then a prechorus that has some chords here and there.

[Cybergrind Flashback] A chorus that’s super melodic and full of bright synths.

[Chorus thingy] If you’re feeling frisky, you can add a cringy synth that almost sounds like the vocals.

[Doo-dee-doo-daa] Then bridge it with a simple breakdown.

[Donkey Kong breaking barrels inthe distance] But now to write a FUCKEN HEAVY BREAKDOWN First you have to build it up pointlessly with a lot of snare fills and guitar chugging.

[Final Boss enters the room] Second; the easiest way to writea breakdown is to space random machine gun rhythms around, and maybe add some variation with some longer breaks and half-time.

The point is; you're suppost to have this kin of; [Andri immitates machine gun noises and fails to sound professional] Kinda.

.

.

Syncopated headbang feel Point is; the easiest way to write a breakdown is to just find a rhythm that's kinda catchy that you can just play palm-mutes over.

My breakdown is rhythmically matching the Super Mario Level 1theme [Mario karate chops Luigi into amerch table] [Andri sings the mario theme over the obvious mario breakdown] [stutters] You get it.

Not for any deeper reason or anything, I just thinks it's kinda neat, and also just generally lazy.

Don’t forget the synth part witha fuckton of delay that makes people reminisce of their childhoods playing E.

T.

and that nostalgia is just a fragile part of their memories that can easily be crushed by making small changes to a remake that doesn't affect the game at all.

[Chiptune, no Alvin was harmed ruding this melody] Why are gamers so sensitive? But make sure to fill your song with some EPIX VIDDY GUM SFX Everyone uses Mario sounds or arcade voices, I think it's time for some VideoGame commericals and DEAD GAMER MEMES [ThOsE cReAtUrEs fr Om Ga noN ArEPrE TtY BaaaAaABd] [Yoshi fucking dies] [GRAND DAD?] [U MUST DOYE] [Mario fucking dies] [Pause] “And if you do drugs you'll GO TO HELL BEFORE YOU DIE” And now for the vocals! Remember to scream like you swallowed an amibo.

“It's raining fire balls” (lol balls) Then put all your instruments ina MAN CAVE and adjust the reverb Mixing? Just turn on cheat codes like the EZMix hack.

EZ PZ “Or you can hire someone to mix the song for you!” “Because why even bother finishing the game yourself, ” “When you can ask your big brother to finish that level younever beat.

” But first give the song a name, It must be a video game reference, so make it as simple as an attack move, game system, or some quirk “Those creatures from ganon are pretty bad” – Bowser diss track Aaahhhh aint she a beauty! And now you got 1 nintendocore track! Upload that shit to the Wii Virtual Console and wait for the storm of tween girls, who thought you were just a regular emo band with a weird quirck.

But let's play some bimeo bames and make a quick music video.

[Fun fact; it took me only 3 days to finish this music video] [Rendering took 14 hourts, causeof al lthe layers of FX and gamefootage] [Anyway, enjoy the song!] [Those Creatures from Ganon are Pretty Bad – Andri from Pagefire] [Yoshi fucking dies] [Those Creatures from Ganon are Pretty Bad – Andri from Pagefire] YOU MUST DIE [Mario becomes a capitalist pig] [Mario spends all his money on “cleaning his pipes”] [Mario fucking dies sfx] [Pausey Pausey] [Duck Hunt Dog's Last Laught] [Ganon again] [GAME OVER SFX] [Mario Breakdown] [Jim Sterling Sample time!] [Mocking ]”Oh, stop talking about loOoOot boOoxes” “I'll stop talking about game industry.

.

.

” “BOjfirognieLLLocks” “When the game industry stops fuUuUkin doing it, alright?” [Maro tells you to go to hell] [Sorry, I really like this clip and sound bit] “PLZ” [Song fades and Andri questions his morality in his music] CONGLATURATION [Ghostbusters on the NES reference] The Lawsuit from Nintendo is on it's way, Now just disapear and hope that the video game god Mario doesn't find you and stomp your ass- OH SHIT HE'S HERE! [Andri fucking dies sfx] “You saw nothing” “THE END” [This chiptune version was fun to make] [Why are you reading these? go watch another video ro make someNintendocore! GO GO GO!] [Jump scare?].
