welcome to another skincare Q&A haven't done this for quite some time now so let's jump right into your questions so instead of me answering this question I'm gonna let the tic-tock Lea to be able to answer your skincare cue [Music] apparently I picked up a new skill and
I've been practicing a lot on tick-tock and during this quarantines so I'm not 100% sure what's exactly happening with your skin with this specific skin care product but it is in fact true that there are certain skincare products when you do apply it just makes your skin look
fabulous makes your skin look really smooth even the skin surface is just like a glass however when you're washing your face and when you're actually touching your face it feels as though nothing has really changed so you feel like you've been scammed by the skincare product a good
example can be makeup primers or skin care finishers they have a lot of different skin conditioning agents for example silicones like dimethicone is a really good example in going into the fine lines and the creases of your skin making your skin instantly blurry and more even and that's
definitely not the intent of the majority of the finger products out there and there are film forming agents and texturising ingredients in the skincare formula that creates that beautiful texture of your skin care products and they can sometimes create that translucent and transparent film on top a lot
of these ingredients are paired with actual skin care active ingredients which is there to actually fundamentally improve your skin's appearance for a long-term so you're not only achieving the instant gratification by having that kind of blurry smooth skin lip but over time these skincare active ingredients can definitely
work in improving your skin and fundamentally so all you need is just a little bit more patience well I'm gonna assume that you're talking about acne scars in particular compared to the wounds that you have from an injury or cut when it comes to determining the size or
the severity of your acne scar it really comes down to how you pop the pimple are you doing an aggressively abrasively and when you pop the pimple is the pimple ready to be popped or are you just prematurely popping it when it doesn't even have a puss but
you just have a Rea spot and lastly how you care after popping the pimple so I'm not a trained dermatologists please take my advice as a grain of salt but this is coming from my personal experience and having to pop and squeeze a lot of pimples my own
I think the most effective way of popping the pimple is to actually poke a hole with a sterile needle so that you don't need a lot of pressure to pop the pus out and if a pimple appears on the same spot that you did just squeeze then you
really want to be careful in approaching how you pop it the repeated motion of squeezing the same spots can actually lead to more deep scarring so after you pop the pimple you want to make sure that area is clean you just want to make sure that there's no
bacteria that would further infect or inflame the spot and just make sure you wash it with a mild soap don't apply anything with fragrance or essential oils that would further irritate the wound area you also want to make sure that area is well hydrated and moisturized because that's
when your skin cells really have the perfect environment to regenerate and rejuvenate applying a petroleum jelly like Vaseline or any types of Oatman scar augments this is a perfect time for you to apply it directly on the spot if you're more of a pimple patch type of person
this is when you want to apply the pimple patch or you can just apply a conventional silicone bandit or a hydrogel bandage after the wound is bandaged you want to make sure that you apply sunscreen more diligently and more deliberately just so that you can protect it from
becoming a hyperpigmentation or a discoloration and then you can also offer for some skin care ingredients that have a brightening property or rejuvenating regenerative a lot of peptides are really useful nice and amides retinol retinyl ingredients can be really helpful and of course my favorite is tamaño oil
now if we're talking about indented scars ice pick scars this is where you really want a professionals help so I definitely advise you to visit your dermatologist if you have the means to if not I think micro needling at home done correctly can definitely help stimulating your skin
cells to grow and rejuvenate and I'm gonna put an emphasis on done correctly this is a fabulous question because I think got elf is really overlooked when it comes to the linkage between your acne and your skin health in general I do have a whole dedicated video just
on this topic because this is the topic that I am really really interested in and also passionate about I think first and foremost just knowing that what you're sensitive to in terms of the food because food sensitivity can really inflame your gut and eliminating those food groups that
you are sensitive to is a really big step and then opting for some foods or some supplements or some you know powders that may be beneficial for your gut health is highly encouraged my favorite is definitely bone broth also there is psyllium husk powder that I still swear
by and it's so so good because it has such a high fiber content it just makes sure that your gut is intact psyllium husk powder is something that I tend to carry it around whenever I'm traveling to a new country or a new city because the change in
environment can make my gut and my gut health really upset so that's when I would have a spoonful of psyllium husk powder my cup will go back to normal so the sad news this is going to be very very hard for you to actually minimize the size of
your pores however the good news is you can manage the appearance of it so the main three causes of your huge and large pores may be first your skin losing elasticity or if your skin is dehydrated your skin loses the volume that was supporting the framework around the
port so making sure that your skin is always hydrated and you invest in a really good anti-aging strategy it's going to do a huge favor to your poor appearance the second cause is it definitely has to do with your oil production the more oil that your skin needs
to produce the bigger tunnel that it would requires if you can fundamentally regulate your oil production that will be ideal in terms of preventative method I do have a really helpful video and how to actually manage your oil production for good and I have experienced this so I
would highly encourage you to watch that video cause number three is congested and clogged pores meaning that there are traffic jams happening inside your pore tunnel so once you do kind of get rid of those congestions by using a beta hydroxy acid salicylic acid and a che it
would definitely help with your pore appearance my question to you would be why are you trying to use retinol you have to define what your goal is when you are using any kind of skin care actives I think that is really really helpful the reason why I started
using vitamin A retinol is because first of all I want to just research the heck out of this ingredient as personally and secondly it is definitely for preventing the signs of aging please note that retinol is not a necessity so it shouldn't be considered something as a must
but if you're motivated to use it for anti-aging purposes I think definitely 20s or early 30s depending on how your skin tolerates it would be a good time to start your retinol game but once you started the fleeing amp up your sunscreen game and your moisturizing game I
personally swear by anything honey anything for Pulis or anything green tea for acne prone skin they've just done wonders and just managing my acne in general in a much more gentle weight I still keep this around in my household which is poplar as people me honey mask I
would occasionally do this sheet mask whenever at my skin is just really tired and stir and just need that extra kick of hydration if you want to go down the DIY route I highly recommend the DIY green tea cotton pad mask that I've done numerous times in the
past and it still works wonders whenever I do have like up incoming pimples underneath my skin though all you need to do is just soak your cotton pads and green tea water green tea and use this place it all over your skin it says cools down your skin
regulates and manages your pimples pretty effectively do you want to know the secret to this it's using your facial muscles as little as possible this is a wonderful question because I certainly do have some strong opinions on this topic I personally do believe that there is a way
for every clearance company to become way more sustainable that every consumer good companies are probably ignoring the most and that is to reduce producing unnecessary products the waste hierarchy the waste program always starts from reduce reuse and then recycle but it really does defeat the purpose of one
becoming more sustainable if you are pumping out 200 unnecessary products and making it all recyclable so that is my take on it and I think consumers definitely have the responsibility to consume more responsibly and more intentionally as well just respect your skin and lower your expectations on your
skin care products topical skin care products can only do so much you got to believe in your skin and what your skin can naturally do more than you believing in the skin care products and you're relying on the skin care products and once you change and shift your
skincare habits into respecting protecting and really repairing your skin's functionality you will have the best skin in your life and it'll probably save a lot of money too so that's everything that I have for you guys today I hope you found this video helpful and informative if it
was definitely give it a thumbs up and please share this video to another friend and I'll talk to you guys later and until then take care by [Music]
