Today I'm gonna show you how to put together your Gravity-Fed Countertop Water System.
The Santevia Alkaline Gravity Water System restores your tap water to a clean, great-tasting, mineralized and alkaline state.
No chemicals, artificial materials, waterpressure or electricity.
Once you've removed all items from the box check your manual to make sure that all of the components are accounted for.
If you don't have your manualyou can find them online at Santevia.
com.
Once you have taken all the packaging off the parts begin to wash it with the soft side of a yellow sponge.
Remember, don't use the abrasive gray spongeincluded in the box, this is to be used with the ceramic pre-filter and will scar the sides of the plastic.
When you first take your spigot out of the package it might look like there's only one washer.
But look closely.
You'll see that there are actually two.
Now we're going to install the spigotonto the lower tank.
To do this we're going to take one of the washers and place it onto the neck of the spigot.
Once we have the washer onto the neck of the spigot, we'll take the neck and place it through the hole on your lower tank.
We'll take the second washer and place it on to the inside of the lower tank.
With washers on the spigoton both the in and out side of the lower tank, we'lll take our magnetic nut and fasten it onto the end of the spigot.
Just fasten this hand tight.
And there we have properly installed our spigot.
Now that you've installed the spigot onto the lower tank take the entire assembly and place it onto the base.
To prepare the mineral stones.
we're going to add them to a pot of boiling water and boil them for two minutes.
Once you have drained the rocks, placethem onto a towel to let them stand and dry.
Once you let the rocks dry and mostimportantly cool place them into the lower tank gently.
Once they're in the base of the lower tank spread them around evenly with the spoon.
Once you've placed the mineral stones in the lower tank take your middle ring and place it firmly onto the top of the lower tank.
Now it's up to you condition and install our fluoride filter.
If you happen to have a filter that looks more like this, the five stage filter, the process will be the exact same.
The only difference between the fluoride filter and the original five stage filter is that the fluoride filter, in addition to doing everything the five stage filter does, also filters fluoride.
Take the shrink-wrap off of the fluoride filter.
Now we're going to condition the fluoride filter by running it under cold water until the effluent runs clear.
A nice tip for this is to take a white plate and place it underneath of the filter.
So that we can see when it runs clear.
Gently tap and shake the fluoride filter to loosen up any carbon.
Dry the outside of the fluoride filter in preparation for installing it into your Countertop unit.
Now take your fluoride filter and a fix your cartridge connector to the top.
Be sure not to over tighten.
Just needs to be hand tight.
Now take the cartridge connector and the fluoride filter and place them onto the middle ring.
To condition your pre-filter place it upside down in a bowl of water for 10 minutes.
Once you've conditioned your pre-filter take the gray sponge and scrub the top of the pre-filter.
As your pre-filter removes contaminants from the water you will need to scrub the top layer of your pre-filter to increase the flow of yourSantevia Countertop Water System.
Now that you've conditioned your pre-filter we're going to a fix it to the upper tank.
To do that we're going to take the nut off of the stem of the pre-filter.
And remove one of the washers.
Much like the spigot and the lower tank we want one washer on the inside of the upper tank and one washer on the outside.
To do this take your upper tank and place the neck through the hole in the upper tank.
Now take your second washer and place it onto the stem and your nut and screw it on hand tight.
Now take your upper tank and place it onto the top of your middle ring.
Once you've filled the Countertop with water, make sure to check the spigot for leaks .
Also ensure that you do not overfilltheir countertop unit.
When the lower tank is full, do not fill the upper tank.
Once you've let two upper tanks of water flow through the Countertop System, discard these in your garden.
On the third pour through you'll be ready to enjoyclean mineralized and alkaline water.
