Lahore-Sialkot Motorway is approximately 91 KM.
Four major interchanges, 8 flyovers , 18 underpasses and 20 bridges have been built on it.
Welcome to another new episode of Grip on Trip.
My today's travel story is about recently inaugurated Lahore-Sialkot Motorway.
Today we will explore that how many cities have been benefited by this Motorway.
Also how it has effected the distances and travel duration.
Travelers coming from Lahore can opt two different routes to enter on M-11 motorway.
First is through Mahmood Boti via ring road.
Secondly residents of Thokar Niaz Baig and its surroundings can use Lhr-Isb Motorway.
From Kala Shah Kaku interchange they can come directly on Lahore-Sialkot Motorway.
Those coming from Patoki via GT Road can also use this track from Kala Shah Kaku to M-11 Lahore-Sialkot Motorway.
Those coming from Multan through Motorway can also use the same path.
Among all the Motor ways of Pakistan , M-11 is the one nearest to Indian border as well.
Like Indian border M-11 is also from South to North.
The first proper exit of M-11 is at Muridke-Narowal Interchange.
Muridke is around 9KM on the left side from the interchange.
Narowal is around at a distance of 65KM from here, After taking a right turn from the Motorway you will reach Narangmandi after 20KM.
Then you will reach Narowal after crossing Talwandi Bhindran.
The second exit on Sialkot Motorway is on Kamoke-Wando interchange.
For Kamoke the travel distance is around 16KM from the left.
Wando is just 3KM away from the interchange towards right side.
Both sides of Motorway are covered with lush green fields.
Usually wheat and rice crops have been cultivated here.
Right now wheat crops are ready and they are being packed to transport them to the market, All this has been done in a typical traditional way without the help of any machinery or technology.
The third exit is from the Gujranwala-Pasrur interchange.
For Gujranwala take a left turn, after crossing Talwandi Musa Khan you will reach Gujranwala in 16KM.
Pasrur is at the distance of around 30KM from the right Earlier the travel distance from Lahore-Sialkot was greater then now.
Earleri travelers used to travel on GT Road till Gujranwala, then after crossing Nandi pur canal and then Daska they used to reach Sialkot via Motra.
From Daska to Sialkot Sambrial route was also being used.
i have traveled on Sukkur-Multan Motorway earlier and this is also giving me the same feel due to very less traffic.
Maybe the reason is that they both have been opened recently for the traffic.
For regular travelers of Lahore-Sialkot it is amazing then with in 40 minutes i am just 10KM away from Sialkot.
It is a very good development and a great blessing for travelers.
Now it is our moral duty to take care of this road.
Construction work is still going on, but with in 55 minutes of travel all possible facilities have been provided here.
Before toll plaza the forth and last interchange is Daska Interchange.
Daska is jst 4KM on the left from here.
Sialkot is on the right and at the distance of 17KM.
After toll plaza with in 1 and half KM you will reach on Sialkot-Wazeerabad Road.
If you want to go to Sialkot city then it is on your right side with the travel distance of 12KM On left side is Samriyal which at the distance of 3KM.
This same road will lead you to Wazeerabad after 23 KM.
A feasibly report has been prepared to extend M-11 from Samriyal to Kharaiyan This 49KM long Motorway will reach Khariyan via Jalal pur Jatan and Shehbaz Pul on river Chenab.
With the completion of this project the distance from Lahore-Khariyan will be only 140 KM.
This travel of mine started from Mehmood Boti Interchange Lahore ended on Samriyal Interchange.
Sialkot is on the right from the interchange at the distance of 10-15 minutes only.
While Wazeerabad is on the left.
Like all other Motorways of Pakistan it is a very well built road, but is a 2 lane road.
due to the shortest travel duration no petrol pump or service station is available here.
So it is advisable to check your fuel and car service before starting your travel.
