MG Hector – The Internet Car, Malayalam Review by Tech Travel Eat

You are going to see a car review that you have not ever seen.

Welcome to another episode of Tech Travel Eat! We are going to review an awesome car today.

We are at Ludhiana, Punjab now.

Punjab is a place for car crazers.

We have come here to review this car.

We got an opportunity to review this car between our INB trip.

We are now standing at the Morris Garage showroom at Ludhiana.

You can see the gigantic vehicles behind us.

The MG Hector has already been launched at many places By the time we finish our trip , I will be having this car as my own.

I had already booked it but didnt get to see the vehicle Got to see it now.

Its much better than what I expected You might have seen this in many videos but I shall show you more different things about it.

A different review from what others have not done That is what we are going to do.

Cameraman Harriska! Inside the showroom they have 3 colours of it.

Silver, black and red.

Red is my favourite colour.

Black is also a favourite one My favourite colour is black I will take the red, you take the black and Harriska will take the silver How about taking these vehicles and going to Ladakh? We shall take all 3 and go to Ladakh This is a very good day time running light like seen in Harrier.

This is a honey comb grill and you have a big emblem of MG.

It looks awesome The specialty of the headlights are that both the dim and bright are projectors.

They have the fog lamp below it.

Its written MG on it.

Lets open the bonnet now.

Emil, you should open it with one hand You should lift it with only one hand Its very heavy.

I can compare it with my ecosport and he will compare it with his XUV.

I have drove Harrier.

So can compare it with that too.

This car is highly featured.

Much more than Harrier.

Kia Seltos is also there.

But cant be compared with this segment.

Thats around 19 I think.

The rate is different.

The engine is 1.

5 so power is less.

It doesnt have as much as power of this car.

It has the length and width of XUV except for the height Power is more.

The engine is same like Fiat Jeep.

Same engine used in Jeep and Harrier They have toned it down a bit to increase the mileage.

Technology wise its the same power 170 BHP That shows it has good mileage.

We shall see during test drive.

Company says 17.

We should be getting around 14-15 in diesel.

This one has a highly packed neat engine compartment For the battery you can open it.

The engine is also covered well with MG Turbo written on it.

Usually normal vehicles are seen a bit messy.

Not the premium ones.

Even the XUV engine is the only part that is covered.

Here almost all the parts are covered well That saves the parts from getting dusty.

The engine compartment is set well.

The indicators are the floating indicators.

Its like the ones seen in Audi That itself gives it a premium look.

It flows well This works as the day time running light and as the indicator too.

The headlights are both as projectors and good white lamps.

The fog lamp seen below is also in white light.

It looks awesome.

It is integrated inside a small box like.

They have sensors here This is the front sensor.

Then a camera below the logo.

A sensor on the other side too.

The tyres used here are Goodyears 215/60R17.

Its a 17 inch tyre.

I feel that if the tyres were a bit more bigger, the vehicle would have had a bulky feel Now the tyre is a bit small compared to the size of the car.

It would have had a massive look if the tyre was a bit more wider.

But still good.

The tyres are good.

The blackish shade on this gives it a stylish look.

All these are power adjustable.

The switches for it are inside.

The side indicators are not fully silver.

Its slightly smoked.

It has a black finish.

It wont shine much.

Some like it like this.

I too like it like this instead of being white in colour.

This camera gives us a 360 degree view.

They have cameras behind too.

This is a wide camera that shows the whole side.

The sides look so beautiful.

We dont know to say the name of the pillars This is A, B and C pillair Oh you know all these.

Good boy They have the Morris Garages name here.

Awesome To open the door its a keyless entry.

The keys can be kept in the pocket I like the vehicle a lot.

I am really impressed.

The silver lining here looks very pretty The front and back has disk brake.

So the braking efficency will surely be better In Harrier, the front is disk and the back is drum.

This is much advanced with disk brakes and will have good braking efficiency for sure.

That surely is a plus point when compared to Harrier.

Behind they have the HECTOR given here.

One of the two things I didnt like about this car is the writing here showing Internet inside.

This part of the car reminds me of another car.

Can you feel so? The Q7 that had come before had this type of brake lights.

This type of back lights seen straight are there in all the premium vehicles now a days.

But this doesnt light here.

In Volvo and all the whole light is seen.

It gives a premium feel here and looks nice.

They have the beautiful logo of MG here too.

They have sensons here all too.

The exhaust is there only on one side.

This is just for a show These are the ones seen behind.

It has a wiper too.

To open the boot of the car, you just have to press this button.

It will open on its own.

If you press this button, the boot stays there.

If you press the button again, it closes on its own After it closes completely, you see a signal light that shows it is locked.

Now the boot space.

I dont know to say this Litre wise.

We can get inside and see how big it is.

6feet tall Emil and 5.

5feet tall myself shall get in and show you.

I am sitting in the boot space.

My head is not even touching the top part.

Emil is 6 feet and close to 5.

5 feet myself are sittimg comfortably inside the boot space.

When you open this its more fun to see.

Once you open if both of us can sleep inside here See, we are sleeping inside the car.

Two people can comfortably sleep inside here.

So we can go with this car for our next road trip.

You dont have to take a room.

You just have to park the vehicle at night and sleep peacefully inside here I am correct 6 feet and I can sleep straight inside here If you fit a carrier on top of the car, you can keep the luggage there and sleep in here So the next road trip is going to be fun for sure.

I am six feet.

If I stretch my legs and lie down, I am still inside the vehicle and not a dot outside.

Awesome Sell your XUV, we shall take a Hector.

Shall think about it.

Its so spacious.

I liked the car a lot.

Its more than what I expected.

Morris Garages is actually a British brand.

Now the owners are a China based company Had seen so many mocking comments saying its Chinese people.

But the phones and apps that we use are all China.

I dont think we will have any technology if we put China apart.

Thats what I feel.

We have 3 colours here inside the showroom Red, black and silver All the 3 colours are at its best.

We have a white colour outside for test drive.

The interiors are awesome.

Its so spacious.

The outside look tells us a lot compared to other vehicles like XUV model etc.

But inside is just amazing.

We wont find any faults inside.

Its truly premium There it is! This display has all the controls in it.

There are lots of features in this.

Can watch a movie, listen to music 360 deg view camera, you can command and open the windows too.

Lots of things via command They have mobile app and can control many things through that.

Steering can be adjust telescopic and tilt.

We have a display here too.

Many things are shown here too.

Door warning light, typre pressure warning etc.

There are more features in here than the other premium vehicles You have a slot to keep your sunglasses.

Controls to open and close the sun roof.

Interiors inside and outside are given with LED lights.

They have 6 air bags to speak upon the saftey features Harriska is shooting through the sun roof now.

The car is very comfortable.

I am very satisfied with the features There are lots of features.

I dont know what all to say about.

Emil will say the rest of the things Seat is electrically adjusted and I am going to get in.

It can be adjusted in 8 way.

Usually all the normal vehicles now have electric adjustments only for the driver seat But here even the passenger side has it.

Its for the diesel full option vehicles that electric options are given.

We are now reviewing on the Hector full option car.

All these features may not be there in the normal ones Full option cars have all these features.

Emil, why dont you open an Automobile channel? I would love to but I cannot be so dedicated like you.

My two favourites are movies and cars Then review well.

I shall give you a chance through Tech Travel Eat like this.

I am happy for that.

If I am with Sujith, then I am very happy.

When you say MG Hector, everybody will have this 10 inch display in their mind.

Even the Tesla cars or even the high end Volvos dont have just a big display.

Thats 9.

5 and this is 10 inch Its like we have kept a tab here.

Its not as big as you see in Tesla car.

But this is a big moment.

Other vehicles have small displays and seeing a big one like this is a great feature Another advantage here is that there is no switch in here.

All you have are these that you see here You actually dont need a switch.

Everything works on voice command.

This is very comfortable May be the older people might find it difficult.

They can do it manually here Anybody now a days can say Hello MG open window, sun roof etc.

Thats true.

All are basically educated.

Thats the main point of our state.

There are lots of features in here.

Just like command you can do all of them manually here.

This is the fan speed.

This is the AC.

Its to make it hot or cold.

If we increase the fan speed, then you cannot hear anything.

So reducing it.

They have ON and OFF for the traction control here.

Another feature is the tire pressure monitor system.

Its there in my car too.

It only says the pressure in it Here the tire heat is also said.

That surely is a big feature.

Music comes from Airtel 4G sim.

Its unlimited connectivity for 3 years.

You have the Gaana premium account in here.

You can play songs through it.

You can connect bluetooth and listen to music and attend a phone call.

USB can be connected to this.

Its basically a tab only.

It has 4G in it.

Acutally why does our cars dont have a tab in it? To have a good tab it would come upto 20000/- or so A tab would be so nice inside all the cars now.

Now Harriers and TATA will all have tabs in it.

When its on demand you have to have it.

Its a revolution.

MG Hector has come to the internet car revolution We Techy and Travelling people would surely want a vehicle like this.

No doubt on that We are now doing the test drive here in Ludhiana.

Now what video will we take when driving? I have already shown everything.

Sujiths vehicle might have problems because Swetha and Sujith will be saying Hello all the time.

Both will make the car do a lot of work.

We are playing the video in the car.

Connecting it to the display.

The sound is very good.

The bass is very good.

You can increase the volume from the steering They have the infinity speakers in here.

No wonder its so good.

They have 8 speakers.

The features are so good.

The sound was in full volume You all know that when it is connected from youtube to a device, it usually sounds different Its not like playing normal music.

But here it was perfect.

The next thing is the colour you see here.

Its the ambient lighting.

It changes to 6-7 colours There is yellow and many more.

We can change as we want.

Here you have 2 USB and aux cable option In the sides you have the wiper adjustments The steering has almost all the controls.

You have folder changing option.

Then the cruise control Increasing and decreasing the speed of the cruise You have a voice command button here on this side.

The volume button, phone accept or disconnect are all on this side of the steering Its not a perfect round circle.

Its like the Polo GT type.

Its fully round in front and at the bottom you have it slightly flat.

It gives you a sporty feel.

The top part here has soft leather.

Its plastic here but soft touch on top.

Here its leather type finish.

Overall its an awesome car.

Open this.

Lets show them the storage space.

' You have a charger device connecting facility inside this.

Its a big pit.

You have a rear ac at the back and the bottom of it has a USB option.

You can charge your mobile there Lots of space in here.

It doesnt have a height in between like other cars have.

Its flat and comfortable for 3 3 can sit comfortably behind.

Its very comfortable.

The seat is made of a soft leather My car has white interiors.

You have to shampoo it often.

It gets dirty when we sweat.

This is black and has multi layered stitching.

They have set the seat very well.

Back seats are also same The hand rest has this option.

You can keep 2 bottles of water in it.

You can sit like a king.

I am 6feet.

I shall show you.

2 Harriska can sit in this car comfortably.

See lots of space.

I have adjusted the front seat for me.

Now behind I still have space.

See how much space you have in here.

Its awesome.

Many might have lots of comments on the outside look But inside, the features are a revolution.

According to me I havent seen a car in this level for this class.

You wont have a car like this below 30 lakhs for sure.

Its superb We have got a petrol hybrid car for test drive.

Lets see how it is.

Initially it may feel slow but when you increase the speed you wont know how fast you are going Now we are going in 80 but I feel like we are going on 40 on a normal road.

It has a good riding comfort.

Able to handle the car comfortably.

The suspension is smooth.

We shall drop it in a pit and see the suspension.

Its good.

How is it Emil? Its very good.

How do feel the suspension compared to XUV? XUV suspension is hard but this one is smooth.

The back seat can be reclined.

This is a big advantage for this car.

You have a big hand rest here too.

You can lie down andd go.

The sun roof is being opened.

You just have to command to open the sun roof You can open it till the end.

Harriska can travel looking at the sky.

Emil please drive Every persons voice can get recognized in a single go.

Its a unique feature Anybody can get in contact with the car with his voice It will be a big fight when I travel with my wife Too many voices will create confusion.

So make sure just one voice at a time There is a mud pit in front.

Lets switch on the camera and see the advantages we get.

You can see all around with the 360 camera.

Usually we get confused not knowing what to do Harriska is able to sit comfortably.

After knowing the features of this car I am thinking of giving one of my car and buying this.

How tall are you? 6.

2 tall Harriska is sitting so comfortably.

Leg space is also good.

There is still this much space in front Its a very good car You can sleep comfortably.

Its best for a road trip.

We are seeing it in that angle because we are in a road trip.

3 people can sit comfortably behind and there is space for 5 peoples luggage at the boot space.

Our MG Hector is such a apt vehicle.

You can have a mini office set up also in here.

If you are a person who travels a lot then you can surely go in for MG Hector.

Its worth for it Our eco sport is here.

Brezza is almost the same size.

Fortuner next to Brezza.

Its actually a big car in size.

There is an old fortuner here.

You can understand the size difference when you see it.

The hector is bulky.

Slight difference only in the height Rest all almost the same.

Of course the other car is another class.

Cant compare that way Its just to understand the size.

You can understand that when you look from the sdie Now lets drive the diesel car with Anil sir.

We are going to try our diesel car.

Only thing the colour is different Now lets test drive the diesel car.

I can feel the difference when I left the clutch itself We are going through a rough road now.

You can understand the difference when you leave the clutch itself.

Even in reverse.

Lots of sensors here and there.

Emil, how is the driving comfort when you sit there? Its same like the petrol car.

Its very comfortable.

Look how smooth the steering is even on a bad road.

We are able to control the steering very smoothly You dont find it difficult driving a big vehicle.

Its very soft to handle.

I am going to go through the dirty road Good.

I liked it all over.

You saw that now.

I went through a big pit in the middle of the road.

That was a good experience.

The people in the car or me driving didnt know much of it.

We have discussed more about cars I guess.

Sujith and I speak a lot about cars.

Different rates and budget We try different budgeting.

Check the advantages of many cars.

At last we shortlisted Hexa, MG, Compass.

Interior wise compass isnt so spacious.

It just has some more additional features on off roading But this is space wise and feature wise highly forward.

The price range is also great.

20Lakhs is a good option Anyways Sujith has decided to take this vehicle.

Confirmed and fixed So now the pricing of Hector.

All of you would be knowing.

Its 12 Lakhs 10 thousand onwards Its the petrol option rate.

Diesel full option comes upto 20-21 Lakhs.

Its the on road price Another specialty about this car is its hazzle free.

For the next 5 years its unlimited kms warranty.

No other industry gives this option Next 5 years unlimited kms roadside assistance.

Nobody gives that too The first 5 services, labor is free.

Only for oil change or so we may have to pay.

The first 5 services are labour free.

Thats a main highlight here Another highlight is that after 3 years, the company gives a buy back guarantee.

After 3 years if you are selling the car, 60% of the rate is offered by the company So those who want to buy it can buy with full confidence.

Thats all I have to say.
