Ladies and Gentlemen welcome you to Khong Gian Hoan Hao program Well, recently we have received lots of your letters and email sent to the program with the intention of being introduced more and more beautiful and impressive houses.
Today we would like you to meet Architect Pham Ngoc Thien An again and visit a new house he has designed on Nguyen Tri Phuong Street, District 5, HCMC This house’s area is 4 x 12 square meters The home owner and architect have created together an impressive living place with the combination of natural pattern Now, please come with us and we will have a tour around this living place.
With stressful urban lifestyle immigrated people in city are more and more crowded .
This leads to the reduction of natural area at big cities.
Creating green pattern for town house with small area is not simple And when owing this land in a small alley of Nguyen Tri Phuong street, district 5, HCMC Mr.
Tran Quoc Tuan had many concerns whether it is possible to have a beautiful and comfortable living place but also close to nature with a 4×12 square-meter-house.
There was a discussion between Mr.
Tuan and Architect Pham Ngoc Thien An and since then, a living place has been created beyond the home owners’ expection.
After more than 4 month construction, this small nice house has been finished.
This living place is truly a happiness to home owners.
The façade of the house is designed with white tone and red shape for highlight The architect does not focus too much on the façade but on the interior of the house.
He has left the whole ground for greeting visitors with a bar cabinet and sofa area.
The ground floor is like in the nature As the plan, the space of the ground floor is tiled with natural stones and gravels instead of tiles.
However, during the construction process, basing on the estimated cost, some changes in the design have been made to be proper with the home owner’s finance.
The home owner and architect have tried to take the most use of decorative items to help the living area closer to nature and make them feel comfortable despite living in a town house.
Hello Architect Pham Ngoc Thien An In previous times, you used to introduce to our audience a nice town house on Ban Co street, district 3, HCMC.
Today you also introduce to us one more house then I wonder if there is any special things that you can tell us more clearly? Ah like I have shared with you in previous programs for me, every house is a living entity because each has their own characteristics positions and interactions between places inside the house.
Then, at present this house has a pretty small area about 50 square meters For a 50 square-meter-house, it is quite complicated to deal with the ventilation and illumination.
So the first most concern in the design is how to bring nature into the house to make it best ventilated and illuminated so that the home owners feel comfortable Ah, for Mr.
Tuan as the home owner in the beginning how do you give you idea to architect so that he could create a living place like today? When I met the architect, we came up with the idea that our house has a pretty small area so we asked him to design a house with proper space for comfortable and convenient living as well as open space and close to nature.
With the requirements from the home owners, what are your solutions to bring natural area into the house to make a perfect living place for Mr.
Tuan’s family? To meet all the needs and to bring nature into the house first I considered lighting, second, ventilation and third green plants To be able to make it real then I as you can see its area is quite small so to create the open space I asked Mr.
Tuan to use the solution of split-level house thank to this, we had split-level floors so that illumination and ventilation will be better also the living room’s elevation is much higher so the air will be well-ventilated Almost nowadays to make space ventilated naturally people mostly use skylight then here I also combined skylight and stair atrium to bring light and air into the house In the meantime, about the materials that can bring nature into the house I mostly used natural stones combined with green of flowers and wallpapers because the fact is that planted trees indoor live not so well and most of the time leaves will ruin quickly so to give the sustainable solution, I combined natural-colored stones and green wallpaper with flowers mainly.
One thing that most our audience really concern is the part of expected fund.
Then for your family, how did you prepare at the very early stage when beginning to build the house? After our discusion with the architect about the purposes and usage of the house, we also talked about our present abilities and then during the process, the architect has given us the sketches and then detailed plans as well as interior design.
For each part there is a detailed estimate.
