– If you think you'rein a competitive niche, and the SEO strategies thatI'm sharing won't work for you, think again.
What d'you think is the mostcompetitive niche out there? It's SEO.
I'm competing with other SEOswho know exactly what I know.
But check this out, I'm ranking for over 477, 000 keywords and I'm getting over 2.
2 millionunique visitors per month.
And today, I'm going to sharemy exact formula that I use to keep growing my website.
Hi everyone, I'm Neil Patel, and today I'm going to breakdown the advanced SEO formula that helped me rank for 477, 000 keywords.

The first step that you need to take if you want to rank for keywordsis to focus on the pages that drive revenue.
Product pages, servicepages, and content pages.
A lot of people want to optimize just for the sake of getting more traffic.
Ranking for more keywordsthat don't drive revenue doesn't really matter.
So if you have, instead of goal tracking, conversion tracking inyour Google Outlooks, make sure you do that now.
So, once you figure out thepages that drive your revenue, the second step that you need to take is to log into Google Search Console.
See what the keywords are that are driving traffic to those pages.
See the keywords that aren'tgiving you a lot of clicks but have a lot of impressions, right? Look for keywords that have less than a 5% clickthrough rate.
In other words, they'regetting a lot of impressions but very few people are clicking over and going to your website.
I want you to export allthose keywords into a CSV.
Then, once you export them, sort them by impression count and click count.
Also, look at the rankings.
Look at the ones thataren't ranking as high.
Keywords that are inposition one, two, and three, sure, you may be able toimprove them a little bit, but they keywords that arein position seven, eight, nine, and ten? They're much more likelyto provide an impact.
According to ClickFlow, which optimizes title tags on a daily basis through their software, they found that through a research of over five million title tags, that if you're in positionseven, eight, nine, or ten, moving up a few spots doesn'tdo much of a difference.
But, if you can get those spots from going from number seven or eight, all the way up to number three or two, you see a massive gain.
And that's why you want to identify those and by exporting into a CSVfile, you can see the ones that are much more likely togive you that boost in traffic versus the ones thatwon't do much for you.
The next step, I want youto take all those keywords and then add it into your content.
Whether it's your titletag, your meta description, you're adjusting your contentto include those keywords.
If you don't do that, what you'll find is your rankings won't go up much more.
And there's a few hacks that you can do to increase your clicks, as well, which then boosts your rankings.
For example, did you know that title tags with question marks havemore than a 10% increase in clicks than title tagswithout a question mark? And that's according to ClickFlow, again.
So, if you include things like that, you'll get more clicks, you'llboost up your user signals, and you can start ranking higher.
The next thing I want you to do is head on over to Ubersuggest and type in all thekeywords that you rank for, and you're going to haveto do this one by one.
Now, once you head over to Ubersuggest click on the Keyword Ideas report.
It'll show you all thelong-tail variations of that keyword that also drive traffic and are popular.
It'll show you the CPC data and all this is really important because keywords with a higher CPC typically will drive more conversions and sales and leads.
So, once you have all those keywords, what you want to do isreadjust your content and add them all back in.
Now, you don't want to justshove those keywords in, you want to adjust your contentand make sure it makes sense.
If it doesn't make sense forthe user, it's not relevant, don't add them in.
But think of it this way.
If you already rank for ahead term, like dog food, don't you think it'sgoing to be really easy to rank for terms like organic dog food, dog food for small animals, dog food with free shipping.
Once you rank for the head term, Google will almost instantly rank you for all these long-tail terms assuming the content onyour page is relevant, and you should see the resultswithin a 30-day period.
Once you adjust all these keywords and add them within your text, what you then want to do is then go back to Google Search Console, in their top bar, add inthe URLs of all the pages where you adjusted content and have them re-index that page.
When you do that, what you'll find is they'll index it faster and you're much more likelyto see the rankings increases quicker than if you just waited for Google to crawl the content on their own.
Now, the last tip I have for you is, go back into Search Console, see all the pages that have some traffic, but very little traffic, in other words most of the keywords that they're ranking for areon page two or page three, and what you'll want to do is see what other pages onyour site are very relevant to that page that's rankingon page two or page three for most of the terms and see if you caninterlink them together.
By interlinking your pages together, the juice starts flowing, and you'll find that it startsbringing up all your pages, they start ranking higher and as you start rankinghigher, you're thinking, hey, Neil, this is justincreasing my rankings, this isn't helping merank for more keywords.
Well, once those keywords startranking higher and higher, you can go back and do the previous step in which you take the keywordsthat are ranking higher, put them back into Ubersuggest, find all the long-tail variations, and then boom, you adjust the page to include those terms as well.
So if you follow all of that, you'll notice that you'regoing to start ranking for more and more keywords over time.
Best of all, you don'thave to link building.
It's one of the simpleststrategies that I have been using and this is how I've grown my traffic over the years.
Most people continue to writemore and more new content.
I only write one blog article a week, but my team adjusts 90 blogposts, per month, on our site.
That's how effective this strategy is.
It's more effective thanwriting new content.
