I all my fans have been waiting outsidelike two days holy shit it's okay guys don't go crazy welcome everyoneJohnny here and I really just want to take this moment to explore and sharesome ideas about traveling and some of these things you might actually resonatewith just to set some
context I haven't traveled or left Australia in over tenyears and really I was just a young teenager I didn't know anything I didn'tdo much and I don't have too many memories of the experience so when Irecently traveled it felt like it was the first time I recently went
toVietnam for three weeks and then I went to Korea for five weeks and it reallyfelt like it was the first time I traveled it was actually the perfecttime in my personal life to actually just bite the bullet booked a ticket andjump on the plane I just didn't have
many commitments at that time and I hadabundance of time so really I had no excuses to not travel there's so muchdesire amongst people to actually travel because traveling is seen as a veryglorified kind of reward or activity right because they require so much timeand money to actually do
there is so much hype for travel but it is reallywell-deserved like wherever you see like TV social media movies traveling rightit's a thing to to when you want to enjoy yourself and have a great timeunfortunately we can't be traveling all the time because traveling requiresmoney and time and
that's something that not everyone has an abundance of and thecliche about traveling while you're young is so true because as you getolder in age you just have more responsibility more commitments so youlack time to travel but when you get older I think you should make the timeto travel
as well because the the most beautiful thing about traveling I thinkis it really lets you unleash your inner child and it allows you to be curiousand open-minded so I so I think many people who travel justhave this down-to-earth nature about themselves so the reason why I leftAustralia was
to go to Vietnam to visit my relatives after 10 years and to go toKorea to see my girlfriend a lot of people see travelling as this experiencewhere you go and sightsee and you do new things and you go see things and none ofthat really kind of I guess
attracted me to traveling so to speak like it's greatlike the exploration of things and doing new things and foreign things but whatreally truly attracted me to traveling was because I wanted to live andexperience the foreign country like a local and fortunately I had thatopportunity in Vietnam I stayed
with various different family members duringthat so I got to experience a enemy's lifestyle and hospitality there is someserious crime going on here if they need fucking Bob wise for their own home inKorea I stayed with my girlfriend in her family so I got to live like a queen
inKorea so you know I got to eat pho every day any kimchi every day so just likethe locals door right but honestly I before I left Australia I didn't do anypreparation or organizing before my trip like minimal it's so bad maybe because Iwas just lazy but all I
did was really booked my flights get my passport andget my insurance and most people when they go on are like an experience ortravel overseas they spend a lot of time preparing the logistics and theactivities and things like that but like I said I that didn't really attract meplanning
day in and day out what I wanted to do overseas I wanted to havethat sense of freedom that sense of I can do what I want when I want andliving like a local meant I wasn't doing too much to be honest I spenteight weeks overseas I could consolidate
that and did all my touristy things inprobably just two weeks but like I said I wanted to live like a local and when Ileft Australia and got on the plane I didn't really feel like it was real butthen when I landed in a foreign place I was just
so overwhelmed like theatmosphere the energy the air there's something different about it and and Iwas truly overwhelmed once we got out of the airport it really feels like I'm inanother country now like it's sinking in and I'm processing out it's it's reallyoverwhelming to be honest holy shit I
am in Vietnam so before my trip Ididn't really think about it too much and I didn't really have anyexpectations of it but now I know really what to expect so when you do travelexpect to be exposed to all different kinds of new experiences from newenvironments new foods new
activities new atmosphere and new living styles andliving conditions it's also unique and foreign which makes traveling sobeautiful I think so some of the things that I learned when I was traveling andit still surprises me today is that cultural differences is such asignificant fact that and part of the
experience right because people grow updifferently and their social norms and the way they'll taught so differentlythe way I behave is different to someone that was born overseas or they live inanother country right and that that's what makes the experience so uniquebecause what we think is normal is definitely
not normalsomewhere else and when you can do that and when you expose yourself to thatkind of new space new environment and new thinking your perspective justwidens and it shapes itself to be moreopen-minded about things and more socially aware about just the world theother thing that I really underestimated
is the differences in living conditionsdepending what country you go to so particularly in Vietnam are I'll stayingwith locals so my family they're not too wealthy and they're not too poor sothey're pretty average right and that's something that really surprised me wasthat the living conditions is so different to
what I'm used to sodifferent to my home in Australia and that's that's part of the package andwhy living like a local is so great right instead of staying in the hotel orair B&B it's like the same as staying home right just just a nice bedcomfortable place but when
I was in Vietnam I was really exposed to how theyreally live and that's what really surprised me the toilets are verydifferent so this is the but because the plumbing system doesn't isn't equippedto take toilet paper it wants to drink very often so they don't want it but infact
what they usually use is the showerhead for us Westerners we bringone bit later and we use it and you can actually flush it so we we have to putinto a plastic bag so we could dispose of it and not block the drain so that'sone of the things I
really miss about home the bathroom the toilet becausewhen you go sit down take a shit it should be peaceful andcomfortable but here is a bad for my confidence on but hey I'm more blessedand thankful for bathroom facilities and sewage facilities we have in Australiathe sleeping style conditions are
very different true means sleeping experiencethis thick as mattress on the floor you live a breeze and when you experiencethe difference in living conditions and standards you become so much moregrateful for what you have materialistically at home right mycomfortable bed my clean water that comes out of the tap
my warm water thatcomes out of the tap and toilet paper all these little things that you takefor granted and that you're not even aware of that you're really lucky tohave it all hits you when you're over there and you don't have these thingsand you just love them and
appreciate them so more those things you have andthat's one of the beauties of seeing the differences in living conditions theother thing that I learned with traveling is that when you exposeyourself to new environments new situations and just foreign experiencesyou are forced to adapt right you're forced to adjust
your behavior in youractions accordingly and when you undoubted you to be flexible and itcultivates growth it allows you to learn and grow over all that eight weeks was afantastic experience for me I got to you know understand the differences inculture but also learned so much more about myself
what I do it again Idefinitely would in the next place on my list it's gonna be Japan I don't knowwhen but it's gonna happen someday someday soon hopefully it's cool oh they're collecting it I'm sorry anyways I'll see you all some peoplesoon take care
