okay story time for you guys a littleupdate here we are on a plane, as you can tellon a British Airways flight scheduled for 6:15 p.
m.
to Cape Town, it's nowalmost 9 p.
m.
and still haven't taken off yet so the whole situationin short was there's been a travel banannounced just as we're boarding around 6 p.
m.
from thepresident of South Africa.
we're imposing a travel ban on foreign nationals from high-riskcountries such as Italy, Iran and South Korea Spain, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom and China as from 18th March 2020 it's crazy to look back at thisnow and see just how quickly things changed at the time there were no travelrestrictions from the UK government and only 51 cases reported in South Africalittle did we know it would be the last time we would be traveling for a verylong time in the end the trip went well but I'mpublishing this video today for two reasons one: to urge you to stay at homeand follow your local governments guidance at this time and two: to offersome entertainment for you to enjoy from your home- now let's get back to it.
we have made it to Cape Town, SouthAfrica after that huge ordeal that Rachel and I had to go through becauseof the announcement that the president of South Africa released just as we wereboarding letting everyone know that South Africa will be placing travel banson pretty much every European country including the UK which is where we wereflying from, even upon arrival they were doing checks so they would pull thatthermometer up to your head to check whether or not you had a fever or yourtemperature was abnormally higher but luckily we were all good so we couldjust go through the process was really quick I was really impressed by thatbecause actually was one of the shortest kind of customs experiences I've hadwe're now finally here in Cape Town after an actually amazing flight becausethe flight was so empty we had complete rows to ourselves four seats minimum soyou could just sprawl out and sleep and when you're an economy it felt like youwere in business so I literally slept 10 hours of an 11 hour flight is thelongest I've ever slept on a plane ride so I'm so happy, no jet lag full ofenergy ready to make the most of the day because we landed a lot later than wewere supposed to is about a three-hour delay but still it's cool we're here theweather is amazing we're literally right in front of a beach but you know whatelse we were rewarded with was a complimentary room upgrade to one of theSuites here at the hotel that we're staying at.
It is called South Beach CampsBay Hotel Suites and they've given us a upgrade to one of their bigger roomswhich we're super stoked about and weren't expecting at all but we havemade it, super pumped to be here and we are about to enjoy a full week ofbeautiful Cape Town, so we'll catch you the pool bar or something like thatwe're gonna go clean up, shower up and go enjoy the Sun and enjoy the day, relaxbecause the rest of the week we've got a lot of things planned to make the mostout of our trip here at Cape Town.
Here we go Good morning from Cape Town, day numbertwo we're starting the day off at Bo-Kaap which is a popular historicneighborhood here in Cape Town which is characterized by these cool coloredhouses so we're just going to do a quick little photo shoot here, explore the towna little bit and then head on to our next spot.
Let's go.
Okay and we have arrived at our nextdestination which is Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, a real, real popularplace here in Cape Town very different vibe from Bo-Kaap where we just camewhich was amazing just checking out the neighborhood trying to find the coolestcolor house we could to grab one of those photos to throw up on ourInstagram definitely check that place out but yes we are here, at KirstenboschBotanical Garden is just at the base of Table Mountain you can't really see itnow but it is that mountain there real real cool place the vibes are very chilland not too many people and it's just a good place to kind of call it a day aswe use the last bit of Sun we have for today before we head out to dinner sowe're gonna go check out the gardens and we'll catch you when we catch itLet's go.
okay so we finished here at Kirstenbosch the Botanical Gardens here in Cape Town real real cool place to have spentan hour to just enjoying nature checking out the different trees and flowerslistening to the birds and taking a bit of a break from the beach or the city sodefinitely check it out, so we're gonna head back now, find a place for dinnerand then we'll catch you in the next spot – let's go! Good morning from CapeTown this is Day 3, we are in the car.
