I want to talk somehow-tos, but in this video, how to avoid, or more accurate, why you should avoid this mindset, because quite frankly, it'sa mindset of poor people, and I don't want you to be poor.
I truly do want you to have success with whatever you're doing, making money, in a career, in whatever, I want you to make money, I want you to have success, but when you approach life with this sort of mindset, it's gonna keep you poor.
You're gonna limit allthe freedoms that you have available to you, so I mean, if you're somebody that does want to make money, does want to build wealth, and I don't mean wealth ormoney, or you know, get rich in a greedy sense at all.
I just mean in a sense ofhey, you have full control, and when you have fullcontrol of your finances, you have full control of your time.
And when you have fullcontrol of your time, then that's what truefreedom is all about.
Now to offer up a littlebit of context here, I want to kinda walkyou through a scenario and hopefully you'll seethe goofiness behind it.
If you don't, if you'relike well, yeah, I agree, then I'm gonna encourage you to try to rewire your brain a little bit, and maybe change up your perspective because if you don't see why this is just kind of a very savage wayof looking at a situation, like I said, hopefullyI can persuade you to consider changing your viewpoint.
But let's just say that we have Roger, and Roger has an income stream, meaning this is probably some sort of job, solet's just call it a job, and it brings in an income stream, and I mean, he's making money.
But then let's say Rogersays you know what? I believe in diversification.
I want to go out thereand do some other things, and diversification being also diversification of incomestreams, so he goes out there and starts a side hustle.
So his side hustle, let's just call it as you know, a landscaping company.
You know what, he wants to, what would that take? That would take a lawnmower, gas, and then his time, right? 'Cause he's gotta actually spend money, or excuse me, spendhis time cutting grass, so he approaches Poor Paul over here, andPoor Paul says to him, let me change up the colors, wait a second Roger, wait what? I know about this, I knowabout your income stream.
I know that you're making money.
Why are you charging me to mow my lawn? You should do that for free because you already have an income stream.
You should be doing that for free for me.
Do you see how kind of silly that is? Do you see how savage that viewpoint is? Once more, if you're like, yeah Paul's got a point, Roger does already have one income stream, so for him to try to go out there and start a side hustle, that's just, I mean, that'sso greedy on his part.
I mean, yeah, forget thefact that he's actually having to pay for thelawnmower, pay for the gas, and spend his time doing it, but right, that's just silly.
And I see this quite a bit, and one of the reasons why I'm doing this is in fact, I'll put a commentup on the screen right now that I got, and basicallyyou can read through it, and it's Clay, if you'reso successful trading, if you make so much money from trading, then why do you have to sell courses? Well, this is why.
I believe in multiple income streams.
I would encourage you to believein multiple income streams.
And in my situation, instead of this right here, I have the website.
If you go to ClayTrader.
com, it costs money to host.
I want people to have a goodcustomer service experience, I want these videos tobe as best as possible.
So I actually have to pay out a salary, not to me but to somebody else because the personbehind the camera, Nate, who some of you know, he is a person that if youhave a technical issue, if you need help with something, when there's two people working at that then you can have that much better of a customer service experience.
But that costs money.
Not to mention this is costing time.
And as much as I love all of you, I'm sorry my wife is waybetter looking than you, my kids are way funner than all of you, my friends are, I mean I'msure we could all be friends, but my point is, when I'm spending time doing the business, doing ClayTrader.
com and the courses, I mean that is taking time away from other things that I like.
So for somebody to sit there and be like you're a little scumbagfor selling for courses.
I mean do you see howkind of goofy that is? So I suppose I'm defendingmyself a little bit, but hopefully what'sreally coming across is that's a broke mindset.
A broke mindset to say Clay, you sell courses, or why do you sell courses? If you're so fill in the blank, you should be givingthat all away for free if you're so successful.
Well no, that's, that's irrational.
Again if you do think that, put yourself in Roger's case.
I'm assuming that you have a job, I'm assuming that youhave an income stream, so what if somebody did that to you? Wait you're trying todiversify your income streams? You're trying to make more money? Well you already haveone source of income, what do you need more for? Right that just is silly, and that's not how you'regonna build wealth.
And I realize you canmake the moral argument of well the nice thing to doif you already have success, if you already have income streams is to just help people out.
And you know what, you'reright, I fully agree, that's why I encourage youto go to ClayTrader.
com/blog, B-L-O-G and you will seehundreds of free videos.
In fact I offer an entirefutures trading class for free.
If you're curious, where's the futures? I'll put a link down below ifyou wanna go check that out, but four videos in total, it's about a two and a halfhour course, totally free.
So I do agree that from a moral argument, you wanna help people out.
But again for me it goesback to this right here.
I also gotta make it worth my time, I gotta be able to pay the bills that come with offering a class, having somebody that works with me, so I mean remember, there's always multiple perspectives.
But at the core, get out there and have the viewpoint of okay, let's focus on one income stream, now let's get another one, now let's get another one, and of course the underlying dynamic is yeah sure you wanna help people out, sure you wanna offer stuff and you don't wanna justmaximize the bottom line, and I don't do that either.
Well Clay, no I really don't, in fact as a quicklittle plug if you will, all of my classes, my programis a lifetime membership meaning you pay once, and I'm not here to badmouth other companies, but a very common businessmodel is ongoing payments.
So sure you can buy a course, but if you wanna have accessto the course and keep it, or if you wanna stay apart of the community, well you gotta pay monthafter month after month, but I don't do that.
Why? Because I'm not here to totallymaximize the bottom line, I do wanna give back, and I do wanna make thingsas viable as possible, however I do still need to be, you gotta still havean income stream there.
So again that's why I don'toffer ongoing payments.
Again if you join my entire program, you get access to mychat room, newsletter, for life, no more payments, you get access to all my classes for life.
So I mean there's a littlegive and take there.
But at the core, like I said, don't think like poor Paul over here.
Hopefully when I set it up before bringing the courses into play and before showing you that comment you were really lookingat Poor Paul and saying that's really greedy on Poor Paul's part.
Like that's a very entitled attitude, and in closing here, what I have noticed is people with the wholemultiple streams of income, everybody that I've ever come across that has been successful, they wanna help you inbuilding more income streams.
They don't expect you tojust give stuff to them, they don't sit there and be like no, because you're alreadysuccessful in those ways I'm entitled now to fill in the blank.
And oh I can't believe you'relooking to expand more, what, you're just greedy.
No, people that I'm surrounded with that I've seen and that I've witnessed, they are all for it, they encourage you, they wanna help you.
They wanna actually, let me put it this way, if someone knocked on mydoor wanting to mow my lawn, I don't need them.
In fact I already pay for alawn service in of itself, but I would still pay them just because I respect the side hustle.
And even if they had a job, do you really think I would say well you already have a job so you should actuallybe doing that for free.
No that's stupid.
So I'm all for it.
And when you get that mindset, that's the mindset that'sgonna take you far, that's the mindset that'sgonna help you build wealth.
So get out there and don't lockyourself into some sort of, I don't even know wherethis mindset comes from about as soon as somebody tries to go for multiple streams of income, there's some sort ofnegative connotation with it.
Get out there, diversify.
You don't wanna, to bring this back to because this is a trading channeland a stock market channel sure you wanna diversify your portfolio in terms of many stocks, but you also wanna diversifyfrom personal finance and wealth building perspectiveall your income streams.
So get out there, diversifyyour streams of income.
First off, thanks so much forwatching the entire video.
Real quick, before you go, I wanna invite you to a live webinar, web class, training, workshop, online event, whatever you wanna call it, but it will be me, live, revealing to you what I've discovered that has allowed me to transform myself from being an employee to being my own boss, including how I had only one losing day out of 73 days in total.
I'm gonna cover three keys that have helped me unlock profitable consistency within the markets.
The first key is super weird, but in a productive type of way.
The second key is super awesome because it quite literally iswired into our DNA as humans, making it very easy to use, but, in a cruel way, this becomes a pitfall for many traders, I'll explain it all though including how to avoid the pitfall that it creates for some.
And yeah, the third key when you hear it sounds way too good to be true, but it's not, and I'll show you how it all works.
Then at the end, I open it up for aquestion and answer session that is, again, totally live.
Even if you can't make the live session, please still sign upas it will be recorded and you can go back and watch the replay that I will send you.
Click the image on the screen, or click the link downin the description box so you can get the date andtime and claim your spot which I should note is limited due to the fact that thistruly is a live event.
If you have any questions, let me know, if not, I'll be seeing you soon.
