“There's a million, million, million, million reasons “why I mess with you.

“There's a million, million, million, million reasons “why I mess with you.
“Cause you touch myspirit, can you feel it? “Gimme that love.
“There's a passion forit, can't ignore it.
“Gimme that love.
” And basically that waslike tribute to Aaliyah.
And I just wanted to add my heart in it, and add, you know, myfeelings into it as well, and basically explainhow you feel when you find a goddess justdifferent from all the rest, your one in a million.

” And that means like I won't play with you.
I won't mess around on you, or like, you know, hurtyour feelings in any way.
I was maybe like asophomore in high school when I made that first album.
So I was like really justventing for the most part, and I think just being sohonest with all the records, and that really justmotivated me to keep going because a lot of girlswere understanding me and Chicago especially, you know, that's like my core, my rock.
And I just had a lot ofsupport from like, you know, people in the city and other girls my age.
And that's really whatkind of like jumpstarted everything else, wasseeing people reacting, feel my pain, and understandwhere I'm coming from.
That mix tape series is really what like, pushed me to do everything else.

One of my biggest records.
It's a good song, good dear song to me.
Every girl wants to betreated like somebody.
Treated important.
We all want to feel like we matter.
So that's like what that song is about.
Treat me like I matter.
Be.
“I just wanna be, I just wanna be.
