the MBA is no stranger to players using underhanded techniques and tactics to gain a small advantage after all in today's game any minut advantage a team can get often makes for a rather intense last few seconds in today's video we are going to be discussing the top 10
dirtiest plays to ever happen in the history of the NBA number 10 we are going to kick off the list with the most recent offense out of the 10 fouls that will be mentioned later which were very clearly done intentionally however it seems pretty questionable whether or not
this foul could ever be considered intentional – but we let you be the judge of that the first play on our list comes to us in 2016 when draymond Green and his team faced off against Oklahoma City it's safe to say we all remember the great series that
took place that year between the two teams and at this moment the series was tied one to one OKC was looking to expand their lead by 10 on what would eventually be a blowout then all of a sudden draymond comes out of nowhere and karate kicks Steven Adams
right in the groin yikes now this was seen as somewhat of a conspiracy at the time Green was not ejected from the game for his foul it's believed that the league realized the series would end right then and there if Green had to sit out after evaluating the
situation they concluded that a flagrant one foul would suffice and the rest is history the Warriors went on to win the series karate kicks and all number nine next up on the list is the bad boy pistons big surprise we know Isaiah Thomas was widely known to be
a player that orchestrated a lot of the underhanded tactics that they used because of this and many other significant reasons he was left off the dream team roster that was decided in 1991 to add insult to injury just a couple of months into the 91 season Karl Malone
hit Thomas with one of the nastiest elbows in NBA history at first it appeared that Malone was only contesting a shot but he clearly saw the opportunity to leave a little on Thomas and took it Thomas was laid out on the floor for several minutes with the gash
on his eye that would require 40 stitches Isiah later recalled it in an interview saying that it was the dirtiest play in NBA history big words coming from the man who practically invented them number 8 speaking of the Pistons number 8 on our list highlights one of the
team's nastiest plays to date Bill Laimbeer once admitted that he used deliberately try to get into his opponents heads he claimed that he would do so to try to put them off their game rather than trying to mess with another player's mind like he was notorious for doing
in this particular instance it appeared that he was just trying to take Larry Bird's entire head off instead during the 87 playoffs Byrd went up her layup and Laimbeer tackled him from behind dragging him to the ground Byrd was clearly in a haze of shock and anger as
he stood to his feet he immediately went to scrap with Laimbeer and threw the ball at him then Bears tactic ultimately proved to work in his favor as both he and Byrd were immediately ejected from the game and considering the fact that Byrd was far more valuable to
the Celtics than Laimbeer was to the Pistons it's safe to say the man accomplished what he had set out to do number seven coming in at number seven is an incident that occurred in the 2006 playoffs between Lakers Kobe Bryant and Raja Bell of the Phoenix Suns in
the series Bryant was averaging about 29 points per game and the Lakers had a three to one lead in the series in the first elimination game of the series the Suns looked likely to be on their way to forcing a game six with around 10 minutes left Bell
was violently elbowed by Brian except replays proved that this was not the case and no contact was made three minutes after the incident Bell wrapped Kobe up and threw him to the floor putting the sun's postseason into jeopardy since I'm re Stoudamire was already out and the team
couldn't afford to lose bell – Bell was a self-proclaimed wizard at being able to stop Kobe in his tracks although he did in fact actually managed to stop him during this play he was still suspended for six games as a result number six next up is a game
from the 2008 playoff series between the big three of the Boston Celtics and the youthful Atlanta Hawks the Hawks found a way to take the series to Game seven however in Game seven Boston was up by almost 30 points and didn't seem to consider Atlanta a serious threat
anymore Marvin Williams took exception to this and grabbed rush on Rondo around the neck curling him onto his back during a fast-break Williams was issued with a flagrant two foul and got a one game suspension this incident could have resulted in the end of Rondo season however he
was lucky that he hadn't gotten more injured as he was okay to continue playing and ultimately went on to win the championship later in the playoffs number five next up on the list is a player that continuously insists he never plays dirty when in reality there are several
highlight clips proving him wrong that's right we're talking about Bruce Bowen in one example facing off against Wally cher back in the timberwolves Bowen jumped to contest a shot while leading with his foot his foot connected with you guessed it chair by ox face seriously though what's with
these basketball players and their sudden interest in karate I can't imagine the thoughts that would be running through my head if I saw a foot that big coming towards my face ouch number four the player next on their list is one that has had so much potential but
simply failed to live up to it mainly due to injuries but also due to the excessive amount of times he tried to hurt other players on the court Andrew Bynum has a lot of dirty plays that can be analyzed but I don't think any of them could compare
to the time that he tried to break JJ Boreas neck in the 2011 Western Conference semifinals the maps were dominating the Lakers in game four the Lakers were down thirty points and were about to be eliminated which really seemed to bother Bynum just as JJ Barea was making
his attempt to drive the basket Bynum elbowed him in midair sending him straight to the ground Bynum was ejected from the game and had to be escorted off the court with commentator stating what a disgrace it was that the game ended in that way and that he had
brought shame upon the organization number three next up is a player that we all know and love Charles Barkley Barkley was never known for being level-headed we see it now when he appears on TV so I think it's pretty easy to imagine how hot-headed he would have gotten
when the hype of a game came into play in the 94 playoffs the Suns were trying to make it back to the NBA Finals after being knocked out by the Bulls the previous year with MJ having retired that offseason there was room for a new champion unfortunately for
the Suns Hakeem the dream took over in the absence of MJ and although the Suns were able to push the Rockets to the limit in the second round that is as far as they got Barclay did not like this series and he was frustrated with how it was
going he took his frustration out on the team as he was defending against him one game as he was making a play towards the rim Barkley shoved Olajuwon in midair which was unnecessary as the series appeared to be over the two players careers diverted at this point with
a lodge wan going on to win two championships and Barkley never making another Finals appearance again number two next up on the list is a player that goes by the name of world peace though if you looked back at his career highlights you would think he stood for
anything but that it was a tight game in the second quarter between the upcoming OKC and a Lakers team that was on its last leg our test dunked over Sergei Baca and began celebrating by beating his chest a young James Harden was unlucky enough to be in our
test path during his celebration and after beating his chest our test delivered a sickening elbow to the back of hardens head this sent Harden on the floor in a heap our test was immediately ejected from the game although he stayed on the court long enough to protest his
innocence he would go on to be banned from playing for seven games thankfully Harden overcame the sickening blow and will play in the NBA Finals for the first time that season number one number one of our list is by far the dirtiest play in NBA history it was
a highly tense series between the Boston Celtics and the LA Lakers in the 1984 NBA Finals and Boston was down 2 to 1 in the series there was a clear perception in the Boston camp that they were not playing tough enough and that they needed to do someone
dirty so they could make an example out of him for the rest of his team to see but who step right up Kurt Rambis you're the next contender on fight or flight the Lakers were on a fast break and looked to be building a comfortable lead to make
the series 3 to 1 when kevin mchale running back on defense wrapped Rambis up around the neck and threw him to the floor looking like a move that you would expect to see in the WWE rather than the NBA it sparked a mass brawl between players from both
benches a few minutes later abdul-jabbar and Larry Bird got into a heated discussion that would cement the sense of animosity between the two sets of players the Celtics eventually won the game and went on to win the series so let us know in the comments which of these
players you are most outraged by just a quick reminder that we post money to Friday so make sure to hit the bell icon to get notified when we post our videos thanks again for watching and stay tuned for our next one
