within the past five years I've beenblessed to travel to 25 different countries and 26 different states withinthe USA I can't sit still for long I'm drawn to new experiences cultures andpeople and I feel a constant pull to see more and go further Maybe it's chronic wanderlust? HiEveryone, I'm Jeanie, and this is my story for those of you who are new to mychannel, I'm a travel agent, and I have own my own agency for almost five yearsnow.
My career has opened my eyes up to the world and has truly changed my life.
I have come nose to nose with the sharks while snorkeling in Belize I've hadItalian cuisine and wine on the cliff side of the Amalfi Coast in Italy, andsnowshoed across the Austrian Alps, I sat in front of the Eiffel Tower andwatched its magical Sparkle at night, and walked along the Great Wall of China, I've Island hopped in Thailand and visited fairytale castles in Germany.
I've embarked on African safaris and watched penguin colonies in South Africa.
I've heard the thundering sounds of glaciers moving in Alaska and cruisenext to humpback whales and bottlenose dolphins in the Hawaiian Islands.
I've enjoyed all-inclusive vacations throughout Mexico and the Caribbean.
I've cruised the Mediterranean and the Caribbean seas and embarked on toursthroughout Europe and Asia.
Collectively these experiences and many many moremake me who I am today.
I've experienced culture shock that hasthrown me out of my comfort zone and ate foods I never knew existed but it'smoments like those that really give you perspective on what's important in lifeand I am so incredibly thankful for that perspective.
Travel has taught me tovalue my life and it really continues to keep me humble.
Now I can't forget tomention one of the most important people in my life that has always inspired me, held my hand, made me laugh, cheered me on, and became my true travel buddy, my husband Vince, we have been married for almost 11 years now in 2019 we decidedto renew our vows in the Riviera Maya Mexico for a 10-year wedding anniversary.
Some words are just worth saying twice.
Not only do we share the same passion oftravel, I sometimes wonder if his travel bug is worse than mine.
We are true wanderlusters and always ready for our next adventure.
After about two years of working in the travel industry Idecided to start my YouTube channel to share my knowledge and adventures withthe world.
Starting a YouTube channel was so scary back in 2017 and putting myselfout there on video was so uncomfortable to me.
However this world is just so big you can go anywhere you want and do anything you want and I think that is just so beautiful.
I'm determined to show peoplethat there is so much more to see in this world then what's located withinour tiny little corner where we were born and raised.
Travel has opened myeyes to experiences that I would have never seen if I would have never left mysmall hometown here in Minnesota.
I decided to put myself outthere and I uploaded my very first travel vlog in November of 2017 from ourtrip to Belize.
I didn't know what I was doing I never vlogged my travels.
I was the photographer not the videographer.
However I just tried my hardest and Iwas actually very proud of my very first video and I knew I wanted to continue tovlog the rest of my travels.
After two years and nine travel vlogs later Igained over 4, 000 watch hours and over a 1000 followers on my YouTube channel and those are the numbers that are required from YouTube for you to become monetized.
So in November 2019 I received the email from YouTube .
“congratulations you have been approved to be part of the YouTube partners program” and that's whenMemories Forever Travel became monetized on YouTube.
And I have to thank my Roatan travel vlog because that is the highest performing vlog on my channel so I knew this was a sign to keep onmoving forward with my goals with YouTube.
With that said I cannot wait tocontinue sharing my knowledge, travel tips, advice, vlogs and lifestyle withall of you my YouTube followers.
I have also started a series with my husband, Vince, where we cook different dishes from around the world so when we are not traveling we can stay inspired with the food, because one of the best parts abouttraveling is trying new food.
Right? I really want all of you my followers toget to know me and my husband and of course Ozzy, on a much more personallevel, as well as, being able to come to my channel for inspiration fun and, ofcourse, I love educating you about all things travel.
I post new videos everysingle week.
I cannot thank you all enough who have watched my videos, who subscribed, who's commented, who's liked.
Your support means the world to me.
If there's one piece of advice I could give you right now it would be .
Don'tWait to Travel.
Do it now while you're young and able.
Start a vacation piggybank and save all your pennies so you can start creating life experiencesinstead of buying stuff.
If you change the way you look at all the clutter andthings you think you need, the things you make a priority in life will change.
Thegoal is to accumulate experiences not possessions and make travel a priority.
Make those dreams happen now.
Embark on the 24 hour flights, now.
Go hikethat mountain, now.
Go feel the exhilaration of something amazingly new and theadrenaline of being young.
Some of the places you would like to visit may notalways be there.
And you won't believe how many people I've talked to in mycareer who said they have waited until retirement to travel and now theyfinally made it to that point in life and they can't travel to the placethey've always dreamed about due to medical conditions.
I will never forgetthe conversation I had with a client who called me and told me her husband passed away at the young age of 50 they had a trip booked with me.
And that was his one wish was to go on this one vacation with his wife as heknew it would be their last vacation together.
Unfortunately, two months before they were about to leave I was notified of the awful news.
She repeatedly told me, Jeanie, you need to tell people to never wait go.
Go now go before it's too late.
That conversation hit me so hard and I started to cry with her.
Life is sounpredictable.
There will never be that perfect time.
So just go! Whatever thereason, and some of us don't really need a reason, you should travel sooner ratherthan later.
I cannot wait to see how far my channelwill go from here and I sure hope you stick around and follow along.
Also Iinvite you to join me on Instagram for more behind the scenes interaction.
MyInstagram account is @IHaveThisThingWith.
Travel so I'd love to connect withyou more here on YouTube, as well as Instagram, so be sure to go check me outthere.
As well you might see some cuteness from this little guy named Ozzy.
And you could potentially see some of this, yep there could be a little of thistoo, and you never know you might even see some of this, yes we have a smallbackyard flock of chickens that love to free-range our yard, but of course my main goal is to always keep on inspiring and encouraging you toget out into the world and explore seeing places and live the life you'vealways wanted to.
Life takes us to some unexpected places but love brings usback home right here in Minnesota.
And remember it's true what they say.
“Theonly thing you can truly buy in this world that will make you richer is TRAVEL.
Travel on everybody.
