What's in our carry on bags x travel essentials

Welcome back to our Channel we decided to do this video in English because many of you voted for it on our Instagram as you can see from the title today we'll be opening our carry-on bags and also talking about our travel essential especially for those who are traveling during the pandemic like us or flying a long-hour flight We usually fly from Bangkok to Amsterdam and Amsterdam back to Bangkok.

It is around 12 hours So we thought it might be interesting to show you what musicians have in their carry-ons and also how they carry their instruments so let's get started For me I usually have two carry on I have one small suitcase and One backpack.

So today I will start with my small suitcase first I usually pack the stuff that I don't need during the flight in the suitcase because I don't want to take it all the way from up there and unpack everything so my travel essentials are usually in my backpack.

Yeah, I will start with the technology I have two laptops With me this time because I want to bring this one back for good and this is the one I am using right now.

As you may know that we are moving back to Thailand very soon So we try to take the stuff as much as possible this time So we don't have to worry about it later and I have this down jacket from Uniqlo a bag of earrings and three bags inside my suitcase The crossed-body bag from Mango Backpack from Kanken and Freitag tote bag move on to the next one Have four books with me These are the books that I already finished so I just want to bring it back here My agenda for this year and some accessaries Three sunglasses one cap and beanie.

The next one is very random.

This is the kitchen towel.

We got this as a gift from our final exam We will use it in our studio and my pink hoddie and the last one is the most important thing it's my diploma This is what we're waiting for Finally we got it, that's it for the small suitcase.

Let's go on to my backpack This is the backpack from Freitag as well But usually I use another backpack because that one is much more lighter than this one This one is very heavy because it's this made from the truck tarps.

So it's 100% recycled and also 100% waterproof.

The downfall is in this model the straps are to think when you carried a lot of stuff It hurts my shoulders, but I want to bring this back here for good.

So that's why I'm using it for this flight.

In this bag, I have three instruments.

The first one is the Modern Flute and I usually put it in my backpack because just to be safe I don't want it to be broke if I put it in the suitcase.

I have to drag it all the way and my babies The Traverso because this time I don't have the space in my suitcase so I have to put it in my backpack, but usually I put it in my suitcase Let's go on Of course, because of the pandemic we have the disinfection kit also masks I have two wet wipes from Dettol and from another brand, Page and hand gels, two hand gels This is the kit for Corona virus.

my skincare in the travel size But this time I didn't use it at all because I don't want to put something on my face during the flight.

I was so scared and the make up pouch and also my cushion foundation It's almost done.

My wallet also from Freitag This is my Thai wallet The small bag for External charger and earphones and The last one, the last one already.

This is also the small bag but this is very important because I put my passports inside and also my boarding pass I have to carry the the old one because I still have the USA visa and inside I have my Dutch wallet is also from Freitag.

Tylenol just in case anyone need it and hair band and hair clip Because I have long hair Hand cream And of course, as a winds player.

Lip balms, two of them Actually, I have one more (lip balm) in here And last one, inhaler Because I didn't travel by car for a long time We usually walk or take the train So these day I get dizzy so easily that I need it during the flight and also on the way to June's house So that's it for my travel essentials.

I'm trying to keep my carry ons as light as possible Sometimes you never know if you have to carry it for a long time If it's too heavy it can hurt your back and your neck and that's not ideal.

So I have to use another bag that fit the length of my modern flute, which is Freitag and yes, we are twins again, and Yim also has the Kanken but in different colors.

I don't know why we have a lot of same stuff? Yeah, this is Freitag, Hazzard The downside of this backpack is that it's very heavy, but it fit a lot of stuff and it's waterproof So I'm very happy with this bag.

I will show you what's in my small luggage first Because those are the stuff that I won't be using throughout the flight So I try to put all the essentials in my backpack and the rest in my small luggage, so let's get started This time in my small luggage.

I don't have so much stuff.

I mainly have clothes and hats like the bucket hats I have two of them caps.

This one and this one and this one Same reason as Yim, as you know that it's our last year in the Netherlands we are trying to carry our stuff back as much as possible.

That's why I'm carrying all the hats back and I have books I haven't finished this one yet took me forever to finish it because a lot of stuff to do it I try to read it before bed, but that sometimes doesn't happen I don't know what to say.

I think Yim forgot to mention that on the way back from Amsterdam to Bangkok It's a night flight.

I got some tips for you.

If you are having a night flight that you have to arrive at the destination In the morning or afternoon.

I'm trying to sleep through the night flight and I think it's easier for me to get over the jet lag when I arrive at the destination I have the charging cord of my laptop Makeup pouches because I'm not wearing makeup on the flight recording machine glasses sunglasses Another small pouch.

This one has a USB C converter and my hard drive This one is really important to me.

So I put it in a small pouch not to lose anything I also have the small cross body bags with me in case that I needed at the destination And I have the camera pouch which have the charger in it and the camera that I'm currently using and the highlight is I also carried my instruments in the small luggage but not a modern flute I carry Traverso, both of them, in the small luggage because Traverso is easier to take care of It doesn't break that easily except that It is exposed to heat or to extreme dryness another thing that's really important is that I always keep the music with me and with the Traverso in case that if I arrived and I need them that I have it right away and not to worry about it It's here! Yeah, and that's it for the small luggage and let's open my backpack It's very heavy In my backpack I have modern flute.

here Notebook my agenda and my laptop I always carry my laptop in my backpack because I'm too scared to break it and I have the skin care I don't really use it on this flight, especially, because of the pandemic I'm trying not to touch anything or to put anything on my face but when I arrived in Thai I need to put on SPF because you know, how strong Thai's sun is and I got to protect my face and I have this pouch which is the pouch that I take with me to my seat So a backpack going underneath the seat and this is with me in here I have face masks, disinfection kit so I have Alcohol, alcohol gel and the dettol.

I have inhaler, lip balm This one is really good and I have the charging kit So I have this and power back as well as my earphones This is my airport first-generation.

It doesn't have noise cancelling or anything but it's good enough And when I take this one out, I always put it in the small seat pouch And another important thing in my bag is this bag, which I always carry around when I'm traveling This one is always have to be with me because it has of all the important stuff I'll show you what I have in here.

First I have wallets, I like to keep the separate wallet for Different currencies and different cards and so on.

So this is my Netherlands wallet This is my Thai wallet.

So two wallets.

I also keep my sim card here.

This is a tip from me I could have scotch tape on the card and I keep my sim card in here because nowadays the SIM cards are Really small and I'm too afraid to lose them This is my Netherlands SIM card and I have the Thai SIM card in my phone, obviously I have my earplugs, in case I need them on a flight because sometimes you know the baby's crying and it's too loud these are Custom-made earplugs for musicians.

It's canceled 25 decibel.

So it's good for practicing in a rehearsal with the big Orchestra I always keep this with me I have also my passport and I have my medication kit.

I have paracetamol I have omeprazole For my stomach and I also have the steroid Because I have a severe allergy to insect It happened once that I got bitten before the flight, and I could not fly I have to go to the emergency and they also ask if I have the adrenaline injection with me Which I didn't have at that time So now I also carry a syringe and my adrenaline around.

Because I don't know when I'm going to have an allergic reaction and I need to protect myself.

So here this and I have my house keys This is the Netherlands house keys.
